Solving the problem of high-temperature superconductivity

Mechanism-Revealed Physics (14/40) ----- by Bingcheng Zhao

Solving the fundamentally important problem of high-temperature superconductivity by revealing its mechanism and identifying its essence: the problem of high-temperature superconductivity has been listed as one of the long-term unsolved fundamentally important problems in physics in several highly authoritative references [e.g., the encyclopedia of physics, Science Magazine, etc., (P. 589 ~ 618, Appendix, reference #1)]. (*Note, OEPIEP law = the law of orbiting electron periodic impulse emitting photons, P. 193 ~ 214, Ch.2A, reference #1). The newly discovered and verified OEPIEP law reveals the mechanism behind the phenomenon of high-temperature superconductivity is that: under the action of an external electric potential difference, orbiting electrons virtually have no impulse motion around their equilibrium orbits, and thereby identifies the essence of high-temperature superconductivity is that: virtually no photons are emitted from orbiting electrons (P. 229 ~ 231, 2.9.2, Ch.2B, reference #1). In terms of ‘the law of Orbiting Electron Periodic Impulse Emitting Photons’ (OEPIEP), virtually electrons only undergo orbiting motion without impulse. As a result, OEPIEP law ultimately solves the problem of high-temperature superconductivity by revealing its mechanism and identifies its essence.

The fundamentally profound implication of solving the problem of high-temperature superconductivity: it is fundamentally important in science to reveal the mechanism thus identify the essence behind an observed phenomenon.

The key to understanding of OEPIEP law solving the problem of high-temperature superconductivity: (i) OEPIEP law reveals the quantum mechanism of why and how photons are emitted from electrons, thus conversely revealing the mechanism and identifying the essence of high-temperature superconductivity by showing why and how photons are NOT emitted from electrons. (ii) Related Q-and-A, Q: fundamentally speaking, why is OEPIEP law capable of revealing the mechanism and identifying the essence behind high-temperature superconductivity? A: OEPIEP law solves the most fundamental problem in front of quantum physics, why there are quantum states. (iii) Related Q-and-A, Q: why the problem of high-temperature superconductivity has not been and cannot be solved within the paradigm of (postulate-based) quantum physics? A: because quantum mechanics does not and cannot reveal the quantum mechanism of why and how photons are emitted from electrons, accordingly it does not and cannot have the ability to unravel the mechanism why and how photons are NOT emitted from electrons.

The attractive applications after revealing the mechanism and identifying the essence of high-temperature superconductivity: knowing of the mechanism and essence opens the door for searching of the practical materials of high-temperature superconductivity in the future (P. 912 ~ 913, 10.3.2, Ch.10, reference #2) with title “developing superconductivity materials based on mechanism and essence”. A variety of superconductivity materials at room temperature and in the range of temperature with great applicable merits will be born in the coming era of mechanism-revealed physics in the 21st century!
